    Lenovo launches LePad tablet

    Lenovo, the world’s fourth largest vendors of computers has made its first attempt into one of the hottest emerging areas of the gadget sector in the form of tablet computer, the LePad. LePad, based on the Android 2.2 operating system was launched in China on Monday with a starting price of 3,499 yuan which is equivalent to 533 USD.

    Coming on to technical specifications, the tablet has a 10.1 inch screen and powered by a 1.3 Ghz processor. It is a smart move as the company is extending its reach into mobile devices. Also, the company said the tablet will go on sale worldwide in June.

    Samsung Galaxy Player 70 will be launched in US this Spring

    Samsung Galaxy Player 70 was recently released in Korea and is all set to be released in US this Spring. It is going to give a tough fight to Apple’s latest iPod touch. It will be available in two models: Galaxy Player 4 and Galaxy Player 5.

    The Samsung Galaxy Player 70 is carrying a price tag of about 499,000 Won ($446) and 599,000 Won ($536) for 16 GB and 32 GB models respectively.

    What’s special about LG Thrill 4G 3D smartphone

    Earlier today, AT&T officially announced that it has teamed up with LG and have introduced an exclusive LG smartphone named the Thrill 4G. Now, what’s special and unique about the smartphone is, it is the first smartphone to feature a “glasses free” 4.3 inch stereoscopic 3D display which is amazingly great!

    Blackberry Playbook will support Android apps

    Launching on April 19, Blackberry Playbook is almost ready to hit the market. The developers have created something exquisite this time allowing the users to use two optional äpp players”. The Java Blackberry apps and Android applications are supported. The catch with that is, the Blackberry Playbook owners will be able to access 200,000 Android applications already available on the Android market.

    Certainly it’s a huge announcement from RIM and we all are diligently waiting for the release date of Blackberry Playbook.

    The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 will hit the markets this summer

    Earlier today, Samsung officially unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Tab, 8.9 and this is the first ever Samsung Tablet to feature Google Android 3.0 along with a new version of Samsung’s Touchwiz customization.

    The key features and specs of Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9:

    • Powered by a 1Ghz processor and features a higher resolution 1280 x 800 pixel display
    • Supports front-facing 2MP camera and a rear-facing 3MP camera with autofocus and an LED flash
    • Weighs just a pound and will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB configurations
    • Will have hardware support for MPEG4, H.263, H.264, DiVX and Xvid video with support for 1080p HD video playback and 720p HD video recording.

    With a starting price of $469, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 will hit the markets this summer for a Wi-Fi only model with 16GB of storage. A $32GB model will cost $569.
