Samsung all set to launch its 9 series ultra-thin Laptops
Samsung is all set to launch it’s 9 series ultra-thin laptops. Announced in January at the CES 2011, the new 9 series is believed to have Duralumin enclosure with a 0.64 inch profile. The Duralumin enclosure ensures 100% durability. It will be available in 2 basic versions:
- 11.6-inch based on Intel’s Calpella mobile platform
- 13.3-inch powered by the new Huron River setup
People living in South Korea can purchase these laptops, while the ultra-thin 9 series laptops will be available in more areas next month. The series will be launched in the Europe, US, Southeast Asia and CES in March.
Coming on to the technical specifications, key features of the Samsung’s 9 series ultra-thin laptops are:
- Powered by an Intel Core i5 processor and pre-loaded with Windows 7 Operating System in all the versions
- 4 GB RAM, and 128GB SSD
- Supports Intel HD Graphics
- Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi connectivity’
- Ethernet LAN and support MicroSD card slot, and micro HDMI
- Boasted by a 6-cell battery
The pricing at the South Korea release is carrying a price tag of around 24,90,000 won, i.e US$2208 for a 13.3 inch model. The new Samsung 9 series will cost around 1 lakh in India while there is no hear regarding its availability date.
